About Us

Voices for Education is a parent-based education advocacy organization that works to improve the educational outcomes of Arizona’s students.

Our goal is to connect all those who are passionate about our schools – students, parents, teachers and citizens. We share information and research on vital issues that concern the future of public education at a time when it is under attack.

We support strong neighborhood schools with an engaging, vigorous curriculum, small class sizes with no more than 18 in K-3rd grades, high quality teaching and not high stakes testing, end to zero tolerance polices in schools, wrap-around supports for every child. We want equitable, fully-funded schools with well-paid teachers, school counselors and librarians at every school.

Our Mission Statement

Voices for Education is an independent, community-based organization that mobilizes ideas, leadership, political support, and money necessary to ensure a first-rate education for every child, in every public school, in every Arizona neighborhood.

The mission of Voices for Education is to improve public education for every Arizona child by:

  1. Increasing parent engagement and leadership in public schools by developing parent leaders.
  2. Reducing class size in K-3 to no more than 18 students per class.
  3. Connect all those who are passionate about our schools – students, parents, teachers and citizens, and join together .
  4. Increasing funding for public education at the state level.
